【Research Interests】
1. Skin Diseases and Wound Repair
Elucidating the pathological molecular mechanisms of skin diseases to provide a theoretical basis for clinical treatment and dermatological aesthetics; investigating the mechanisms of skin aging, wound repair, and regeneration to promote the regeneration of skin appendages after repair.
2. Hair Regeneration and Hair Repigmentation Mechanisms
Investigating the molecular regulatory mechanisms underlying hair follicle development, hair cycle transition, and post-injury regeneration to provide theoretical support for the prevention and treatment of hair-related disorders such as alopecia; elucidating the cell fate regulation and microenvironmental mechanisms involved in hair graying and repigmentation to promote hair follicle functional restoration and improve the quality of hair regeneration.
3. Skin Organoids and Applications in Skin and Hair Research
Establishing physiologically relevant skin and hair follicle organoid models as novel experimental platforms for studying skin and hair development, disease initiation, and progression; advancing the application of skin organoids in mechanistic studies, drug screening, regenerative medicine, and precision therapy to support basic research and clinical translation in skin and hair biology.
4. Biomanufacturing and Synthetic Biology
Studying the biosynthesis, metabolic regulation, and biomanufacturing applications of important natural products. Using microorganisms and cells as chassis, this research aims to reveal the biosynthetic and regulatory mechanisms of important nutritional chemicals and to construct cell engineering systems, thereby providing scientific support for clinical therapy, food nutrition, and drug development.
