【PERSONAL PROFILE】
Dr. Song is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Chongqing University, China. He received PhD degree of engineering from Chongqing University, China, and was awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship for Foreign Researchers by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and took the postdoctoral training at Tohoku University and Nagoya University, Japan. Dr. Song won the title of "Bayu scholar" in Chongqing in 2014, and was selected as famous experts and teachers of Chongqing Talent Plan in 2019. Dr. Song’s research interests focus on exploring the mechanisms of stem cell mechanobiology regulated by various mechanical, chemical or coupled mechano-chemical factors, and the influences of mechanical microenvironment on the progression of malignant tumor and its intervention. Dr. Song has presided several projects supported National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chongqing Science and Technology Committee, etc. He has published more than 100 international peer-reviewed papers, as well as 2 chapters in books. Moreover, he has applied and obtained 3 patents of inventions. Current courses taught by Dr. Song include Cell Biology, Experimental Techniques and Methods of Cell Biology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, etc. He has supervised 29 master students and 10 Ph.D. students, three of whom have won the Chongqing University or Chongqing Distinguished Master/Doctoral Thesis awards.
