【PERSONAL PROFILE】
Dr. Juhui Qiu graduated from Chongqing University (Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, 2011.12). After the completion of postdoctoral research at Tsinghua University, he joined Chongqing University (2017.03) to carry out teaching/research work. He has presided 1 Projects supported National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He has published 40 papers in journals such as J Mol Cell Biol;J Biomech;Biomaterials, etc (5 papers were selected as Cover stories). Many papers were selected as 500 articles of journals, or highlighted by media such as Sohu, etc. Moreover, he has applied and obtained 2 patents of inventions. Current courses taught by Dr. Juhui Qiu include Essential Biology, Tissue Engineering, etc. He has supervised 6 master students and 2 Ph.D. students.
【RESEARCH INTERESTS】
1. Cell fate, the new cellular developmental origin of hematopoietic stem cells and endothelial cells with zebrafish and mice model.
2. biomechanics and mechanobiology, mechanical signal transduction and mechanical response of chromatin with gene expression.
3. Cardiovascular disease and Therapy, the hemodynamic causes of atherosclerosis and cell uptake.
