【PERSONAL PROFILE】
Dr. Changjun Hou graduated from Chongqing University (Ph.D. in Biomedical engineering, 2004). After the completion of exchange scholar research at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he joined Chongqing University (2007) to carry out teaching/research work. He has presided 3 Projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 3 Projects supported by National Science and Technology Support Program, National High-tech R&D Program of China (863 Program), and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, more than 10 Projects supported by China Scholarship Council, Ministry of Education, Chongqing Science and Technology Commission, and National Bureau of Quality Inspection, etc. He has won First Prize of Technological Invention of Chongqing Science and Technology Award, Second Prize of Natural Science of Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award, First Prize of Science and Technology of China Light Industry Federation, First Prize of Chongqing Industry-University-Research Innovation Achievement, Outstanding scientific research award of Tang Lixin Fellowship, A Class Award of Chongqing Association for Science and Technology. He has published more than 200 papers (cited more than 2,000 times) in journals such as Nature Nanotechnology; Advanced Function Materials; Small etc. Many papers were selected as research highlight articles of journals, relevant achievements have been highlighted by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the American Physical Chemistry Association, or highlighted by media such as Sina, Netease, Tencent, People's Daily Online, World Wide Web, etc. Moreover, he has applied and obtained more than 50 patents of inventions (8 of them have been transformed or applied). Current courses taught by Dr. Hou include 《Pharmaceutics》,《Biomedical Testing》,《 Fermentation Engineering》,《Biopharmaceutical》,《Biosensor Technology》 etc. He has supervised more than 40 master students and 20 Ph.D. students, 5 of whom have won the Chongqing Distinguished Master/Doctorial Thesis prize.
【RESEARCH INTERESTS】
1. Biomedical inspection and testing: molecular diagnosis, biosensor chip, sensor theory and its detection system application, portable and wearable medical devices.
2. Nanobiotechnology: nano functional materials, nano probes, nano sensors and micro-nano microsphere drug delivery system.
3. Food safety and health: real-time, non-destructive, on-site, rapid and intelligent advanced sensing detection methods and technologies for food preparation, detection of agricultural and animal residues and biotoxins.
