【PERSONAL PROFILE】

Dr. Wang Jianhua graduated from Chongqing University (Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, 2002.06). He worked as a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge, UK, from 2004 to 2005. He worked as a senior research scholar at Health Canada. He has presided two Projects supported National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), one project supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology, five projects from Chongqing Municipality and Jiangsu Province, and He won one second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award. He has published 125 papers in SCI journals such as Talanta; Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research; International Journal of Biological Macromolecul. Moreover, he has applied and obtained twelve patents of inventions. Current courses taught by Dr. Wang include "Principles of Biotechnology and Equipment Curriculum Design", "Medicinal Chemistry", "Medicine and Pharmacology" , etc. He has supervised fifty six master students and nine Ph.D. students, Guo ZQ and Lu CC of whom have won the Chongqing University Excellent Master's Theses.

【RESEARCH INTERESTS】

1. Mechanical behavior between drug molecules and proteins: Expand and understand the correlation between the changes in mechanical behavior of protein molecules in different drug environments and the surface free energy of protein molecules, providing a certain theoretical basis for drug screening and other research.

2. New drug formulation design and technology: processing technologies such as drug substance inclusion, coating, coating, microencapsulation, liposome and slow release based on improving drug targeting ability and potency; various inclusion tablets and packages Product development and production technology for powder injection, retention tablets and water injection.

3. Synthesis of new raw material drugs: Carry out the modification of prodrugs based on the design of structurally-combined drugs; explore natural sources of oligosaccharides, monosaccharides, proteins, peptides, amino acids, ribonucleic acids, peptide nucleic acids, Volatile oil, alkaloids, glycosides, vitamins, lipids, organic acids, inorganic salts, trace elements, etc.
