Personal statement: (500-word limit)

Professor Hu obtained her doctoral degree of Biomedical Engineering in 2011 at Chongqing University and hosted more than 10 funding projects including General Programs/Young Scientists Programs of National Natural Science Foundation of China, General Programs of Natural Science Foundation of Chongqing and Fundamental Research founds of the Central Universities. The applicant was also a key participant in more than 10 national research projects including National Key R&D Programs, Key National Research Project of China and National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of China. The applicant has won the Natural Science Award of Chongqing (2nd place) and published more than 30 papers on journals in the first group of academic ranking by Chinese Academy of Sciences including Advanced Materials, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed, Biomaterials and Acta Biomaterialia, which have been cited by other groups for more than 3000 times. The applicant taught two classes for undergraduates and graduate students including “Biomaterials” and “Experimental techniques for biomedical materials”.

1. Modification of biomaterial interface and therapeutic evaluations against bone diseases.

2. Pathogenic mechanisms of bone disease and development of therapeutic intervention options.

3. Construction of drug delivery nanosystems and evaluations on their antitumor efficacy.
